Jeddito, AZ

Jeddito is a small, quiet Navajo community located among the high desert mesas of northeastern Arizona. Its name comes from the Navajo phrase Jádi Tó, meaning "Antelope Water," named for the natural springs in the area. The community has a unique layout, with part of the chapter sitting as an enclave bordered by Hopi lands, home to families with roots going back generations. Local children attend Jeddito School right in town, and neighbors regularly gather at the Jeddito Chapter House for local events and community business. Spanning the line between Navajo and Apache counties, it is a close-knit, rural place known for peaceful open spaces and strong cultural traditions.
