Jefferson, OH

Jefferson is a small, welcoming town of around 3,500 residents and the county seat of Ashtabula County, Ohio. Situated about ten miles south of Lake Erie and close to the Pennsylvania border, the village has a peaceful, rural feel with a rich sense of history. It was founded in 1803 with a street layout modeled after Philadelphia, and you can still see that heritage in the historic courthouse downtown, vintage architecture, and sites like the 19th-century law office of abolitionist Joshua Giddings. Mill Creek runs through town, giving the area a quiet, green backdrop.
