Jonesboro, IN

Jonesboro is a small river town in Grant County, sitting right across the Mississinewa River from Gas City. The two neighboring towns share a lot of daily life, with residents crossing back and forth across the bridge for work, shopping, and community events. Even with those close ties, Jonesboro keeps its own distinct identity, complete with a classic Main Street, its own local government, and a history stretching back to the 1830s.

Families here are part of the Mississinewa Community School Corporation. Younger children go to Westview Elementary right in town, while middle and high school students attend class just across the water in Gas City. With the scenic river running along its edge, a welcoming local library, and easy drives to Marion and Upland, Jonesboro is a comfortable, down-to-earth place to settle down.
