About Kanorado

Perched right on the Kansas-Colorado border, Kanorado is a tiny High Plains community whose name blends the two states it straddles. Home to around 150 residents, it holds the distinction of being the highest-elevation town in Kansas at 3,908 feet above sea level. Originally founded in the late 1880s as a railroad depot, Kanorado today offers peaceful, wide-open living with direct access to Interstate 70 right before you cross into Colorado.
