Kaufman, TX

Kaufman is the county seat of Kaufman County, Texas, situated thirty-three miles southeast of the city of Dallas along U.S. Route 175. Founded as Kings Fort in 1840 by Dr. William P. King, the city of approximately 8,538 is served by the Kaufman Independent School District for public elementary and secondary education.
