About Terrell

Terrell is a Kaufman County city east of Dallas, with a downtown and railroad-era history that give it more shape than a simple outer suburb. Its early story includes Robert A. Terrell's unusual octagonal Round House, built with defense in mind, and Terrell Military College. During World War II, the city hosted a civilian flight school that trained British Royal Air Force pilots, a distinctive piece of local history. Today Terrell combines small-city East Texas character with growing ties to the expanding Dallas-Fort Worth edge.
