About Kennett Square

Kennett Square is a borough in Chester County, Pennsylvania, located within the Philadelphia metropolitan area approximately twenty miles west of the city. Often called the Mushroom Capital of the World, the community of approximately 6,200 hosts the annual Kennett Mushroom Festival each September. The Kennett Consolidated School District was the first school consolidation in Pennsylvania history, and Longwood Gardens is a premier horticultural attraction in the borough.
