About Kill Devil Hills

Kill Devil Hills is a coastal town in Dare County, North Carolina, and the most populous settlement on the Outer Banks. The community is famous as the site of the Wright brothers' historic first controlled, powered airplane flights on December 17, 1903. The town is home to the Wright Brothers National Memorial and First Flight schools, which are operated by the Dare County School District.
