About Kirtland

Kirtland is a historic city in Lake County, Ohio, situated along the East Branch of the Chagrin River. Famous as the early headquarters of the Latter Day Saint movement in the 1830s, the community of approximately 6,900 preserves the historic Kirtland Temple, completed in 1836. The city also hosts the expansive Holden Arboretum and is served by the Kirtland Local School District.
