Kissee Mills, MO

Kissee Mills is a Taney County CDP on US 160, about five miles east of Forsyth and within the Branson micropolitan area. The post office has operated since 1871, and the community took its name from A.C. Kissee, who owned a local mill. That is the useful key to the place-name: the road, the post office, and the mill owner are the parts that turn a generic Ozarks settlement into Kissee Mills.

Today the community sits between Forsyth and Taneyville on the road through the southern Missouri hills.
