About La Grange

La Grange is a city and the county seat of Oldham County, Kentucky, located twenty-five miles northeast of Louisville. Founded in 1827 and named in honor of Lafayette's French estate, the community of approximately 10,300 is famous for the active CSX railroad tracks that run directly down the center of historic Main Street. The city features a historic commercial district, the La Grange Railroad Museum, and is served by Oldham County Schools.
