About Lafayette

Lafayette is a city in Yamhill County, Oregon, situated along the Yamhill River and Oregon Route 99W. Founded in 1846 by pioneer Joel Perkins and named in honor of General Marquis de Lafayette, the historic community of approximately 4,490 is served by the Yamhill-Carlton School District for public elementary and secondary education.
