About Lafe

Lafe is a town in Greene County, Arkansas, situated in the valley of Big Creek on the western side of Crowley's Ridge. Founded by German immigrant Herman Toelken, the community of approximately four hundred residents is drained by Big Creek, which flows northwest toward the Black River. Public education is provided by the Marmaduke School District. Lafe offers a peaceful, rural setting with an economy rooted in agriculture, while highways connect the town to the nearby city of Paragould.
