About Lake Bluff
Lake Bluff is a Lake County village on Chicago's North Shore, close to Lake Michigan and the Green Bay Trail. The first non-Indigenous settler family claimed land in the area in 1836, and the village later developed into a residential, affluent lakeside suburb. Lake Bluff has a smaller, more understated feel than some nearby North Shore towns, with a compact downtown, older homes, beaches and ravines nearby, and commuter rail access toward Chicago. It feels polished, local, and distinctly lake-adjacent.
