Located just a couple of miles southeast of historic Gettysburg, Lake Heritage is a private, gated community centered around a scenic 150-acre lake. Established in the mid-1960s, the neighborhood is home to around 2,000 residents who enjoy a peaceful, waterfront lifestyle nestled in the Adams County countryside. Winding residential streets wrap around the shoreline, featuring a mix of lakefront properties, wooded lots, and plenty of opportunities for boating, fishing, and swimming.

The community is managed by an active property owners association that oversees private roads, security, boat launches, a pool, and neighborhood traditions like the annual summer regatta. Local students attend either the Gettysburg Area or Littlestown Area school districts depending on their address. While the neighborhood feels quiet and secluded, everyday conveniences, healthcare, and dining in downtown Gettysburg are only a short drive away, with straightforward routes connecting out toward Harrisburg, Frederick, and Baltimore.
