Lake Huntington is a hamlet in the Town of Cochecton, set around a broad lake in Sullivan County's western Catskills. The post office opened in 1893, and the water has long given the settlement a reason to gather, fish, spend summers, and return year after year. County roads connect Lake Huntington to Monticello, nearby hamlets, and the Delaware River country, but the lake remains the clearest guide to where the community begins and how it feels.

Today the Lake Huntington Lake Association helps organize attention around the water, while anglers, paddlers, seasonal residents, and year-round households share the same shoreline setting.
