About Largo

Largo is a Prince George's County census-designated place just east of the Capital Beltway. It was named for the Largo Plantation owned by the Beall family, but today's Largo is more strongly associated with county institutions, offices, and transit-oriented development. Prince George's Community College is located there, and Watkins Regional Park is nearby. Largo feels like a suburban civic center for the eastern Washington region: government services, medical offices, apartment growth, shopping, and Metro access all sit close together.
