Larned, KS

Larned is a quiet, tight-knit community in central Kansas that serves as the county seat of Pawnee County. With a population of around 3,700, it offers an easygoing rural lifestyle surrounded by open prairie and productive farmland. The town was founded in the 1870s along the historic Santa Fe Trail, taking its name from nearby Fort Larned, which once guarded frontier travelers and mail routes.
