About Ledbetter

Ledbetter is a Livingston County CDP set at one of western Kentucky’s clearest geographic handoffs. The Ohio River runs along the community, while the mouth of the Tennessee River sits just west, marking the county line with McCracken County. U.S. 60 threads through the place toward Paducah, which lies directly across the Tennessee River. That river position gives Ledbetter a different feel from an inland county settlement: the map is about water, crossings, and the short distance between two sides of the river. With 1,836 residents in 2020, it was Livingston County’s largest and most populous community. Ledbetter is small-town Kentucky with a big-water address.
