About Lehighton

Lehighton is the largest borough and commercial hub of Carbon County, Pennsylvania, situated along the Lehigh River. Developing rapidly in the nineteenth century due to river water power and the Lehigh Valley Railroad, the community of approximately 5,268 is served by the Lehighton Area School District for public primary and secondary education for local students.
