Set along the north shore of Lake McConaughy in Keith County, Lemoyne is a quiet community with deep local roots. Founded in the late 1800s, the original town had to pack up and move to higher ground when the reservoir was created in the 1940s, leaving the old streets beneath the water. Today, the area serves mostly as a peaceful lake retreat, with dozens of seasonal cabins and a small handful of full-time neighbors who enjoy easy access to fishing, boating, and sandy beaches.
