About Leola
Leola is a small town in Grant County, Arkansas, representing the southernmost municipality within the Central Arkansas region. During the Civil War, Union General Frederick Steele marched troops through the area along the Old Camden Road in 1864. The town is home to Cox Creek Lake, a popular man-made reservoir created by damming a tributary of the nearby Saline River. Today, the community has over four hundred residents and is served by the Sheridan School District.
