Leoma, TN

Leoma stretches along U.S. 43 between Loretto and Lawrenceburg, with the road tying together a school, a county archive, a botanical garden, and the older Fall River mill community. The G.T. Wilburn Grist Mill sits on Clear Creek at 17 Wilburn Mill Road, a preserved water-powered mill whose setting keeps the earlier agricultural landscape in view. Highway travel follows the modern corridor, while the creek and mill preserve an older route through Lawrence County.

The Lawrence County Archives is in Leoma just south of Lawrenceburg at 2588 Highway 43 South, holding permanent county records, family histories, newspapers, and microfilm. Four-acre Hope Botanical Garden, established in 2017 and opened on Earth Day 2022, adds a newer public use just off the same highway, with native and site-adapted plants plus education and research.
