About Levelland

Levelland is a city and the county seat of Hockley County, Texas, situated on the Llano Estacado thirty miles west of Lubbock. Developing as a regional hub for cotton farming and petroleum production after its founding in 1921, the community of approximately 12,466 is home to South Plains College. Public education is served by the Levelland Independent School District.
