Lewisburg, KY

Lewisburg is a home-rule city in Logan County, Kentucky, about 11 miles north of Russellville. Its story begins with movement: a stagecoach stop had a post office called Henrysville in 1852, then the Owensboro and Nashville Railroad surveyed and platted Lewisburg in 1872 as a depot. The town took its name from railroad engineer Eugene C. Lewis; the post office moved to the new settlement in 1877, and the city incorporated the following year. U.S. 431 follows the west side as Main Street, while Kentucky 106 crosses the center as Stacker Street.

Lewisburg Elementary is part of Logan County Schools, a district whose high school and career center are in Russellville. The city also has Lewisburg Park, and county listings place Lake Malone, Carriage House Vineyard, and the O'Bannon House among the nearby destinations tied to the broader Logan County map.
