About Lewisburg

Lewisburg is a city and the county seat of Marshall County, Tennessee, situated in Middle Tennessee fifty miles south of Nashville. Named in honor of legendary explorer Meriwether Lewis, the community of approximately 12,900 was established in 1836 when the county court constructed the historic courthouse and jail. The city offers residents a historic town square, local manufacturing jobs, and public schools operated by Marshall County Schools.
