About Liberty

Liberty is a town in Sullivan County, New York, bisected by State Routes 52, 55, and 17. Originally settled in 1797 by pioneers from Connecticut who built a sawmill in the Blue Mountain country at Revonah Lake, the community of approximately 5,142 is served by the Liberty Central School District for public education.
