Little Ferry, NJ

Little Ferry is a small Bergen County borough with a surprisingly deep media-history footnote. It was formed in 1894 from parts of Lodi Township and New Barbadoes Township, and the area was once home to film studios during America's early motion picture industry. Today Little Ferry is more familiar as a compact New York-area suburb near Ridgefield Park, the Hackensack River, and major highways. It feels dense, practical, and very North Jersey, with history tucked into an everyday commuter landscape.
