Lockport, LA

Lockport is a quiet Cajun Country community in Lafourche Parish with roughly 2,500 residents. Life here has always revolved around Bayou Lafourche, which winds right through the heart of town. Originally settled as Longueville, the area expanded when a series of canal locks connected regional waterways in the nineteenth century, eventually giving the town its name.
