About Lodgepole

Set in the Nebraska Panhandle about 19 miles east of Sidney, Lodgepole is a quiet, close-knit village surrounded by open farm fields and cattle country. The town started out as an 1860s railroad stop along Lodgepole Creek, where travelers once gathered timber for poles. Today, you can still visit the restored 1887 depot museum downtown, watch trains rumble past the grain elevators, and enjoy a slow-paced country lifestyle just a few minutes north of Interstate 80.
