About Logan Elm Village
Logan Elm Village is a Pickaway County CDP named for the Logan Elm, the historic tree associated with a speech by Mingo leader Logan. The original elm stood near the village until it died in 1964; a marker now identifies the spot, and a new elm was planted in 2012. Logan Elm State Memorial Park gathers that history with plaques about American Indian leaders and early Ohio settlers. The place’s identity comes from a landmark outside the usual town-center pattern: one tree, one speech, and the layers of Ohio history gathered around the memory of that site.
