Lolo, MT

Located at the northern edge of the Bitterroot Valley, Lolo is a relaxed community of around 4,500 residents just ten minutes south of Missoula. It is a popular landing spot for families and commuters who want a quiet, small-town atmosphere while staying close to Missoula's restaurants, jobs, and healthcare. The community features its own elementary and middle school campus, and the easy drive on Highway 93 keeps daily travel stress-free.

Day-to-day life revolves around the outdoors and the surrounding mountains. Right in town, Travelers' Rest State Park offers peaceful walking paths along the creek where Lewis and Clark once camped, while the nearby Bitterroot River provides prime spots for fishing and summer floating. Following Highway 12 west takes you straight into the Bitterroot Range toward Lolo Hot Springs and mountain trailheads, giving residents year-round access to hiking, camping, and winter recreation.
