Long Hill CDP (Southeastern Connecticut County), CT

Long Hill is a Fairfield County CDP and neighborhood in Trumbull, Connecticut, west of the Pequonnock River along Connecticut Route 111, also known as Main Street. The community's map mixes older village landmarks, residential roads, small businesses, schools, and wooded hills within the larger town. Long Hill Green gives the area a recognizable center, while Bridgeport and the rest of southwestern Connecticut sit within the regional orbit.

The Golden Hill Paugussett Indian Nation lived across this landscape before English settlement spread inland from Stratford. Long Hill was organized as a parish in 1740; it joined Unity in 1744 to form North Stratford, and the separate town of Trumbull was established in 1797. Farming shaped the hills for generations before postwar roads and housing changed the town's scale. Today Route 111 businesses, Trumbull schools, parks, historic buildings, and neighborhood gatherings keep Long Hill active. It is an old Connecticut village name carried inside a suburban town, with the green and the road still holding the pieces together.
