Long, OK

Long is a Sequoyah County census-designated place in the Fort Smith, Arkansas-Oklahoma metropolitan area, where the 2020 census counted 408 residents. The community sits between Sallisaw and Fort Smith in the western part of the county, with a small census boundary set inside the rural road network. Its name is easy to miss among larger regional places, but the CDP gives Long a defined place on the map.

Long's post office operated from August 22, 1894, until April 15, 1937, with William J. Webb as the first postmaster.
