Loudonville, NY

Loudonville is one of the most established and sought-after residential areas in the Capital Region, centered along the historic corridor of Route 9, known locally as Loudon Road. The main road carries a steady stream of commuter traffic alongside local businesses, banks, and neighborhood dining around Ireland's Corners. Step just a block or two off the corridor, however, and the setting shifts into peaceful, tree-lined streets. The housing stock is exceptionally diverse, featuring preserved nineteenth-century farmhouses, stately brick colonials, mid-century ranches, and expansive private estates tucked behind mature hedges.

Because Loudonville is an unincorporated hamlet within the Town of Colonie, residents receive town-provided services and typically send their children to the highly regarded North Colonie Central School District. Most errands and commutes require a car, though CDTA buses provide regular transit links to Albany, Latham, and Troy. Location is one of Loudonville's biggest advantages: downtown Albany is less than ten minutes away, while Albany International Airport, the train station, and major highways are all within easy reach.
