Louin, MS

Louin is a quiet, close-knit rural community in Jasper County, located along Mississippi Highway 15 just a few minutes north of Bay Springs. Home to fewer than 300 residents, it got its start in the early 1900s as a railroad stop and timber hub, named after the first postmaster's son. Today, the area offers a relaxed pace of life surrounded by the open woods and farmland of central Mississippi.

Day-to-day life is closely tied to neighboring Bay Springs, where families head for grocery runs, local dining, and West Jasper School District campuses. Residents enjoy the peace and privacy of small-town living alongside a strong community spirit, which was especially visible as neighbors came together to help one another rebuild following severe storm damage in 2023.
