Lowell is a town in West Creek and Cedar Creek townships, Lake County, Indiana, named after the industrial city of Lowell, Massachusetts. Platted in 1853, the community of approximately 11,100 is famous for hosting Indiana's oldest continuous Labor Day parade and historical events at the nearby Buckley Homestead. Public education for local students is administered by the Tri-Creek School Corporation, featuring Lowell High School.
