About Lugoff

Lugoff is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Kershaw County, South Carolina, located just west of the Wateree River. Part of the Columbia metropolitan area, the community of approximately 9,786 was named in honor of Count Lugoff, a Russian engineer who worked on the Seaboard Air Line Railway in 1899. The town hosts the annual Lights of Lugoff Christmas Parade and is served by the Kershaw County School District.
