Luzerne, PA

Set just five miles north of Wilkes-Barre in the Wyoming Valley, Luzerne is a cozy, tight-knit borough of around 2,700 residents. Toby Creek runs right through town, giving a scenic, relaxed backdrop to the quiet residential streets. It offers newcomers an easygoing small-town pace where neighbors know each other, along with a quick commute to regional jobs, hospitals, and shopping centers across the valley.

While the community grew out of the region's historic milling and mining era, today it has settled into a comfortable, family-friendly hometown. Main Street serves as the walkable hub of daily routines, lined with independent diners, local shops, and neighborhood businesses. Families are served by the Wyoming Valley West School District, and nearby parks and river trails give residents plenty of convenient spots to get outside and unwind.
