About Malad City

Malad City is the only incorporated municipality and the county seat of Oneida County, Idaho, situated in the Malad Valley near the Utah border. Hosting the annual Malad Valley Welsh Festival to celebrate its pioneer heritage, the community had a population of 2,299 at the 2020 census and is served by Oneida County School District Three-hundred-and-fifty-one.
