Malverne is a small Nassau County village on Long Island, just north of Lynbrook and west of West Hempstead. It has the scale of an older close-in suburb: compact streets, local schools, a village center, and Long Island Rail Road access nearby. The surrounding Malverne Park and Malverne Park Oaks areas can blur the map, but Malverne itself is a distinct incorporated village.
