About Manteno

Manteno is a village in Kankakee County, Illinois, situated approximately fifty miles south of the Chicago Loop. Named after Manteno, the daughter of early settler Francois Bourbonnais Jr. and his Potawatomi wife, the community of approximately 9,030 hosts the Diversatech Industrial Park. The village is bordered to the south by Bourbonnais and public education is served by Manteno Community Unit School District 5.
