Marble Falls is a scenic city in Burnet County, Texas, located fifty miles northwest of Austin along the Colorado River. Founded in 1887 by former Confederate General Adam Rankin Johnson, the community of approximately 7,800 centers around Lake Marble Falls, part of the Texas Highland Lakes chain. Zoned within the Marble Falls Independent School District, the city is a regional hub for water sports and granite quarrying.
