Marienville, PA

Marienville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Jenks Township, in the middle of Forest County’s wooded country. Pennsylvania Route 66 serves as its main street, running northeast toward Kane and southwest toward Interstate 80 near Clarion. The community sits near the Allegheny National Forest, so the landscape changes quickly from roadside businesses to long stretches of forest. Marienville is the kind of place where the highway is also the address, the route people use for work, supplies, and a day out on the trails.

The trail system is the local calling card. The Marienville ATV/Bike Trail begins east of town, and the Forest County ATV Club is based here, giving the community a role in the off-road network that runs through northwestern Pennsylvania. That activity sits beside an older Pennsylvania timber-and-highway story: Route 66 carries through traffic, forest roads turn toward camp and hunting country, and the town provides a service point before the trees take over.
