Mars Hill, ME

Mars Hill is a quiet northern Maine community tucked right against the Canadian border in Aroostook County. Home to around 1,400 residents, life here revolves around wide-open potato fields and the prominent mountain that rises directly above town. It offers a classic rural New England pace where neighbors know each other, traffic is virtually nonexistent, and the surrounding rolling hills provide scenic views in every season.

During the winter, families head to Big Rock Ski Area on the mountain's slopes for accessible downhill skiing and snowboarding, while summer brings hikers along sections of the International Appalachian Trail.
