About Marysville

Marysville is the county seat of Yuba County, at the meeting of the Feather and Yuba rivers in Northern California. It grew into an important Gold Rush-era city, but hydraulic mining debris later choked the Feather River and changed the city's fortunes. That history gives Marysville a layered feel: old commercial blocks, levees, agriculture nearby, and a sense of having once been much more prominent. Marysville feels historic and river-bound, with Sacramento Valley heat, civic buildings, and Gold Country memory all close together.
