Mascoutah, IL

Mascoutah is a city in St. Clair County, Illinois, situated within the Metro East region of the Greater St. Louis area. Established in 1837 as Mechanicsburg and renamed to honor the Mascoutens tribe, the city of approximately 8,816 features the expansive Scheve Park. Public education is served by the Mascoutah Community Unit School District 19.
