Matamoras is a borough in Pike County, Pennsylvania, operating as the easternmost municipality in the state. Situated along the Delaware River directly across from Port Jervis, New York, and named after the Mexican city of Matamoros occupied during the Mexican-American War, the community of approximately 2,539 is served by the Delaware Valley School District.
