Maynard, MA

Maynard is a MetroWest community about 22 miles west of Boston, set along the Assabet River near Acton, Concord, and Sudbury. It began as a farming area settled by Puritan colonists, then became strongly associated with the river and later industrial development. The Assabet still gives the town a clear geographic center, while its location in Greater Boston makes Maynard feel like a compact old mill town adapted to modern suburban and tech-region life.
