McIntosh, AL

McIntosh is a small town in Washington County, Alabama, along U.S. Route 43 north of Mobile. The town has Native American heritage and older river history, including McIntosh Bluff on the Tombigbee River. It was named for Captain John McIntosh, a British Army officer, and the area includes sites listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
